In the fourth quarter of 2023, Malta's iOS carpooling and ridesharing app landscape showcased interesting trends, according to data from Sensor Tower. Here’s a closer look at the performance of the top five apps in this category.

Bolt: Request a Ride saw a fluctuating download pattern. Starting with 426 downloads in the first week of October, the app experienced a dip to 328 downloads by mid-October. However, it rebounded, reaching 461 downloads by the end of October. The upward trend continued through November and December, peaking at 635 downloads in the week of December 18.

Uber - Request a ride had a varied download performance. It started strong with 598 downloads in the last week of September but saw a decrease to 315 downloads by the first week of November. The downloads picked up again, reaching 522 in the last week of December.

Cabify had a modest presence in Malta. The downloads fluctuated between 28 and 73 throughout the quarter. Notably, the app saw a spike to 63 downloads in the week of December 25, after a relatively stable performance in the earlier weeks.

Yango: taxi, food, delivery maintained a low but steady download rate. Starting with 29 downloads in late September, the app experienced minor fluctuations, peaking at 55 downloads in mid-November and ending the quarter with 35 downloads in the last week of December.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver showed a consistent download pattern with minor variations. Beginning with 28 downloads in late September, the app saw its highest download count at 46 in the last week of December.
